How to Pack & Ship Fridge Magnets, Badges and Acrylic Keychains Safely
September 19, 2026 · by ShopShip
Good packaging protects the product and the customer experience. Magnets, badges and acrylic keychains are small, but scratches, bent hardware and movement inside a courier box can still damage a finished order.
Packaging fridge magnets
- Keep printed surfaces clean before packing.
- Use individual sleeves or protective wrapping for personalised pieces.
- Separate magnets if strong magnetic contact could scratch the printed face.
- Use a rigid outer box for larger bulk orders.
Packaging acrylic keychains
Acrylic surfaces can pick up scratches during transport. Keep each finished piece separated with a sleeve, tissue, protective film or another soft barrier. Prevent loose metal hardware from rubbing against the acrylic.
If you are building a keychain product line, see our acrylic keychain blanks buying guide.
Packaging button badges
Keep the pin or hardware from pressing directly against the printed face of another badge. For bulk orders, use layers or small inner packs so the pieces do not move freely inside the carton.
See the badge raw material and badge raw material guide for compatible production sizes.
Use the right outer packaging
Choose an outer box or mailer that matches the shipment size. Too much empty space allows products to move; an overfilled box can crush them. Fill gaps with appropriate protective material and seal the parcel securely.
Add order identification
For custom orders, label inner packs by customer, design or quantity. This is especially useful for wedding, school, event and corporate orders where several variations may be shipped together.
Before handing the parcel to the courier
- Count the finished items.
- Inspect the surface and hardware.
- Photograph the packed order for your records.
- Check the shipping label and pincode.
- Seal the package fully.
Frequently asked questions
Do acrylic keychains need individual wrapping?
Individual protection is useful for reducing scratches, especially for personalised or premium orders.
Should magnets be packed loose in one bag?
For bulk production, grouping can be practical, but make sure the printed faces and edges are protected from rubbing.
What should I do for large event orders?
Split the order into clearly labelled inner packs and use a rigid outer carton with enough protection to stop movement during transport.
